AAAA-CHOOO, AAAA-CHOOO

I have been doing a lot of this today.  I was hoping those little sniffles I had last night were not the beginning of a bad head cold, but yes they were ! And today I have a full blown yucky cold !!
The skies were clouding up early today as I finished chores and breakfast and decided I didn't feel too bad to take my morning walk.
I stood by the creek watching the waters rush by going on their way in the warm 60 degree temperatures.

I keep a plastic lawn chair wedged high in the branches of a tree just for days like this one. I can get such a calm peaceful feeling here as the sound of the water is almost like a sweet lullabye.
My walking companion Annie also appears transfixed on the rippling water.

Then we were jarred back to reality by a stark reminder of why we never get in the creek bare footed as this broken bottle floats by.

Hope this wasn't used as a weapon somewhere up the creek !!!

Back at the house I had floors to clean and porches and steps to sweep before the rain gets here.
After lunch I went downstairs with the intention of sewing up some aprons I had cut out.  But when I saw my new printer still sitting still in the box in my desk chair down there and the fact that I don't have any labels for my cakes I decided to hook it up to the computer down there.
Now I'm definitely not a geek when it comes to computer things but I do manage to muddle through this type thing. So after only 2 hours I had the old printer disconnected and the new one operational !!!
Sorry aprons you will have to wait for another day !!
With my nose actually dripping I don't think it was a good time to sew anyway.
I came upstairs and made a hot cup of tea and watched the gloomy sky darken and the rain begin.
As I slogged through mud again during chores I thanked God for all the rain he has provided.
I also thanked Him that we are not having a typical cold winter and all this was snow instead of rain.
This Purple Finch was taking cover and having supper at the same time.

This evening I felt pretty bad but I did paperwork along with some end of the month figures which are easy this month as things are so slow.
I also worked some on my picture project getting through my oldest son's graduation in May of 2000.
My nose is beginning to feel like a hot poker tonight and I have the bottle of Nyquil standing by. Hopefully that will help me get a good night's sleep.
Grateful to God for the blessings and love He pours out on His children each day.
Good Night and God Bless.

Bless your heart, Marilyn. So sorry that the old cold-bug has attacked you. The last time I had a cold was in 2007 I think --when my childhood friends and I were on vacation at Tybee Island. I felt horrible that week... After that cold, I started taking a 1000 mg Vitamin C pill every morning. Haven't had a cold since!!!

We had rain most all day today... After such gorgeous days on Monday and Tuesday, I was almost depressed today--with more rain... Oh Well--can't do anything about it...
Hugs,
Betsy
