HAPPY BIRTHDAY EASTON

Woke to a cloudy day again. After chores and breakfast I got ready for church.Last week one of the ladies in church asked me to bring her a caramel cake, she can't come to the market with her COPD because of all the dried flowers and different dusty things. I always feel funny taking a cake to sell to someone at church, I always think of how mad Jesus got when He went into the temple and found people selling things in there. I didn't actually take the cake inside, her husband came out to the van and took it to his car so maybe the Lord will forgive me.
We had a big crock pot full of beef stew brewing for lunch and we fixed corn bread, green beans and corn on the cob to go with it and of course with the addition of a 1/2 bushel of peaches yesterday another peach cobbler was for dessert.
After we ate it was time to party.
This sweet boy (sorry about the blurry pic) turned 1 year old today and we had to celebrate.
This is Easton one of my great nephews. He had just woke up from his nap and didn't know what to think about all the people in his yard.
G-son found a quick friend and had a ball.

There was a small bouncy house for the kids.
He was upset when we left because he wanted to stay and play for the evening !!
We left early because #1 son had sold his holstein steer to the man who has cattle across the road from us and we were delivering him this evening. The clouds were getting darker and we decided we'd better get that job done.
The move went smoothly, we got him loaded and took a drive up the road so he wouldn't know he was just across the road. We unloaded him with the cattle over there and he was immediately put into his place in the pecking order over there.
We came home unhooked the trailer and I made photos of it to list it for sale. Another chapter of our lives is coming to a close. We no longer have the desire to transport cattle around. Once old Snowball dies we will be cowless for the first time in over 25 years.
Right on cue as soon as we got in the house from chores the rain started. I poured out 1/2" from the gauge from last night's rain showers. It has been raining all evening tonight a slow gentle rain thankfully so far.
Thankful tonight for today's blessings.
Good Night and God Bless.

Hi Marilyn, Can't believe that you all are getting so much rain --and we are getting skipped... None here recently...

Sounds like a great party--and glad your grandson is meeting so many new friends.

We went to Georgia to do some hiking on Friday and then while hubby hiked on Sat., I went to a Bridal Shower for my upcoming daughter-in-law.

Hugs,
Betsy
