SISTER PLAY DAY

Up to greet IR and CA this morning as they thankfully safely arrived on slick roads. Daughter said she hit one patch of ice on the way from her house to ours but it was a scary half mile drive.  Guess since no school buses are running no one checked the roads this morning to be sure it was safe for teachers to drive to the schools. I got chores done in the nice sunshine although it is still only 33 degrees.  I had breakfast with the girls and then we loaded up and headed into town. We dropped off a load of things at Goodwill that I had cleaned out of the basement room and then went by market to make a deposit of some table rent checks that were already turned in.  After a stop at the bank for the deposit we headed home stopping for lunch on the way and also stopped to fill up with gas.  We had a good lunch with IR while CA napped on the couch.  She woke up a little later and also had a good lunch.  These sisters are so good to play together most of the time.

After the girls were picked up hubbie and I got evening chores done. It is getting dark noticeably later especially on these brought sunshiny days and the hens are laying more eggs with the extended daylight.    I am still putting up the rooster at night from the pullet's house so they won't peck at his comb anymore, thankfully the Vicks vapor rub I put on his comb stopped the daytime pecking but with the close quarters of the night time roosting house I think he is safer separated.                                         I roasted some brussel sprouts to go with some chicken breast for supper and then we relaxed for the evening.
Thankful for the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
