Surprise ,surprise this morning as we woke to about 2 inches of melting fast snow . It is still snowing a fine misty type snow that is melting as soon as it hits the ground with the temperature above freezing by a couple degrees.
I got chores done and then came inside for a big late breakfast. We are all making different varieties of soup tonight and getting together to have an early supper. I spent the day cleaning in the sunroom and kitchen and getting things all washed and put back out after taking the Christmas decorations down. I also did a load of Christmas afghan laundry and put those away. I made a fruit salad and we put the potatoes for our contribution of potato soup on before we went out to get chores done early. It is now raining a fine mist and most of the snow is all gone. The mud left from it is very slick and I was sliding all around getting chores done. All the kids got to play outside in the little bit of snow we had and looked like they enjoyed it.
We all had a nice soup supper tonight and enjoyed each others company for awhile on a wintry night. Thankful for the blessings of this day.
