WONDERFUL SUNDAY

A really nice morning to be able to spend some extra time under the warm covers as I look out the window at the snow still clinging to the roof of the sunroom.      Outside to get chores done I was slipping and sliding all around with the ice that fell on top of the snow and was now starting to melt with the 33 degree temperature.  After chores I had breakfast then we started getting ready for Sunday lunch. We put a ham in the instant pot and potatoes in the oven, green beans and corn on the stove top and I made a ramen noodle coleslaw that was very good and also for dessert I made apple crisp.  #1 son's family, #2 son and Tif, Aa's family were here for lunch and daughter and then girls came in to eat a little later after CA woke from her nap.  Everyone had a nice visit and enjoyed the food.  After they all left hubbie and I went out to get chores done . The fog looked like frozen snow covering the mountains this evening.

Most of the snow that fell has melted away now with temps getting into the upper 30's today.

Back inside we had a nice supper of left overs and then relaxed for the evening.   The weathermen are saying we are in for another interesting night with more snow by morning.

Daughter added another member to her family yesterday as she decided to become a guardian family for one of Quin's, the mama dog that they have already been guardians of puppies.. Meet Winnie and IR is definitely in love with this puppy and I'm pretty sure this puppy has a fancy for IR.

This was typically the way to end a January with snow on the ground and cold temps. Over all this first month of 2021 has been a good one. Schools have stayed virtual all month giving the virus time to slow a bit. The weather has been pretty typical except for a few warmer days. We have seen snow on several occasions but not much accumulation. We are still enjoying vegetables from our winter gardening experiment and did our last rooster harvest of the year. I have got a basement cleaning project started and only like 1/4 of the basement to getting it all cleaned out. I have room now for my exercise equipment and have started using my ski machine to get my heart rate up and make my legs stronger. Aa's family was in a bad auto accident this month but thankfully they are all okay and are working on getting a new vehicle and settling with insurance. Good news for our family came on a couple occasions and I am looking forward to sharing more about that in the near future. Very thankful for the blessings from God that we received this month and looking forward to what He has in store for us in the new month.

Thankful for the blessings of this day.

God Bless and Good Night
