THANKSGIVING BLESSING MIX

Drove to market this morning with light snow hitting the windshield. This is too early for this stuff I kept thinking. And also too early to have long handle underwear on !!! The high today is suppose to be about 40 degrees so I planned to be warm.
Another slow day at market but busier than Thursday.
I didn't need a coat as I loaded the van because my blood was boiling !!!
The 4 cakes that a lady ordered and was suppose to pick up at 9:30 this morning where still here even after I called her and gave her the option of not taking them only 1 hour before market closed, because another customer wanted them. But she said oh no she definitely still wanted them and would be by before closing time to get them. Well she never came!! I know she has my phone number and when I tried to call her from the parking lot after closing time I got no answer.GRRRRRRRRRR !!!!!!!
I delivered an Avon order and stopped back by a thrift shop where a friend volunteers every Saturday afternoon as a cashier to cool off by shopping, sounded good to me !!!!
As I shopped daughter called and I was walking around telling her what had happened ,after all 2 of the cakes on the order were hers. My friend over heard me talking to daughter and asked what kind of cakes I had, I told her and she said I need 1 of those and when I brought it into the shop for her 2 other customers asked for cakes also. Wow, I sold 4 cakes at that thrift shop, maybe I should just start peddling them !!!!! I still had quite a few cakes left even after this and I didn't feel like anymore peddling today,I'll wait until Monday.
I did some grocery shopping on the way home and got home around 4.
After unloading and getting into some work clothes I went up to give the chickens some scraps and check for eggs. My cell phone rang and I saw the forgetful customers # on the screen. She said ,"did you sell all my cakes?" I said yes but I can sell you some different ones. She said a customer came in her shop and was telling about a lady at a thrift shop she just left selling cakes that weren't picked up. Now is this a small world or not????????????????????
She asked if her husband could come get some cakes, whatever I had left and would sell her. So with her still taking the amount of cakes she ordered and selling the extra 4 at the thrift shop I came out way ahead and won't have to peddle cakes on Monday.
I'm still shaking my head about the chain of events that brought all this full circle !!
This has been a cold evening and at 11:00 it is already 30 degrees headed they say for the mid 20's.
The Edenpure heater will get another work out tonight. I was pleased last night as it maintained at least a 60 degree temperature all night in the sunroom. That's higher than I need and I'm experimenting with the thermostat to see how low I can set it and it still stay around 50 in there.
I ran across something I think is absolutely a darling idea for a small gift at Thanksgiving. To make this you'll need a box of Bugles, bag of pretzels, bag of candy corn, some nuts or seeds (your choice),some dried fruits, a bag of M&M's, a bag of Hershey's kisses.Mix all these together in a large bowl and stir well.Fill small bags with mixture making sure you get some of each ingredient in each bag.Print off the bag toppers with the front looking like this. And the back of the topper has the ingredient explanation on it. If you click on this you should be able to read it better.
I thought this was so cute and meaningful. I definitely will be making some of this.
Remember to set those clocks back and get that extra hour of sleep tonight. It'll take me a couple weeks to adjust to the new time,I'm in favor of leaving it one way or the other.
Thanking God for my blessings of today and His gracious ways that guide me in His love.
Good Night and God Bless.

A good demonstration of Someone greater than us is in charge! Twice the number of cakes sold...a blessing.

Wonderful idea on the Thanksgiving treats. This would be so wonderful to give to friends and family.

Hi Marilyn, I hope you don't take ANY orders from that woman again... She can just come to the market and buy what you have on hand!!!! GADS--talk about idiots....

LOVE LOVE LOVE that Thanksgiving Blessing Mix.... I will definitely make some of that. Thanks so much.

No snow here --although they said that Crossville did get some.. We didn't see it here... It is cold this morning though (25 early)...

Hugs,
Betsy

It must really be awful to have to deal with folks like that and still remain nice to them.

BTW...I hate to inform you but this is November already. But you are right. This cold snap came upon us rather quickly.

I love the blessing mix. Great idea for sales at the church.
