GLAD I'M NOT HEADED DOWN I-26 ANY TIME SOON !!

Woke to bad news for anyone going down I-26 East this morning. A hazardous material hauler wrecked on the Peter Guice Bridge last night spilling 21,000 pounds of sulfuric acid. People were evacuated for a mile around the site after the truck burst into flames. The driver escaped without serious injury, only burns from the acid.

Clean up still continues tonight and the interstate won't be back open on the wreck side until at least Monday. Bridge inspectors were called in to assess acid damage to the bridge. Fortunately none of the acid reached the Green River.
As I walked this morning  I saw one of my favorite Azaleas blooming.
I love the red blush inside these white blooms.

This salmon colored one is pretty as it drinks up the morning sun.

After I came inside I baked 6 caramel, 2 coconut, 2 chocolate, 2 blackberry wine and 1 pound cake before lunch.
I managed to get 2 loads of month ending laundry dried out in the solar dryer before the clouds threatened rain again this afternoon.
I cleaned the floors and the outside porches as the only rain we got today was a few light sprinkles.
When Hubbie came in we got all the tomato plants re-potted and on a rolling cart so we can roll them in and out as it looks like our weather is going to become more normal for a while, with 60's highs and 30's lows.
I iced the caramel and chocolate cakes while I listened to the news this evening before chores.
After a salad supper we watched Survivor then I did the weekly paperwork and bagged my Avon orders.
Tired and ready for  a hot bath and bed tonight.
Thanking God for all of my blessings today and striving to glorify Him in all that I do.
Good Night and God Bless.

Glad the acid didn't reach the river. Good work by the Haz-mat crew.
