BIRTHDAY PARTIES, WEDDINGS AND SUPER MOONS

Woke before the alarm this morning as g-son got up to go to the bathroom. Got ready for market with his help.
He has his first loose tooth, one of the front upper ones.
As we headed out to market he rode with me and talked non-stop all the way there about what he was going to do today at a birthday party he is invited to.
He and hubbie got me set up then walked down the street to a local vegetable market to get fresh beans and corn for lunch tomorrow.
They left shortly after headed to the slip and slide birthday party of one of his friends from church.
Hubbie stayed for a few minutes and took these photos of him and his friends slipping and sliding.

He was going home with the boy in the first picture to spend the evening while we and his mom and dad went to a wedding.

I had a slow market day,not as good today as Thursday. But thankful for what I did sell.
I came straight home and rested for a few minutes before doing the chores early and getting dressed for the wedding.
It was in Rutherford County, about an hour drive for us. Thankfully the weather is nice because it is an outside wedding.
It was a very plain but very tastefully done wedding, just my style !
This was the alter.
Here comes d-in-love and her friend.
Here is the grooms mother being wheeled down the isle, prayerfully she made it through the whole thing without a siezure . Hubbie and I talked with her before the ceremony and she sounded good and acted bravely normal.
Here is the wedding party men.
#1 son is 3rd from right end with his head turned.

This is the ladies side
Groom's sister is 3rd from right. Love the boots !!

Here comes the bride, with the 2 men that would give her away, her dad and her son (by a previous marriage). He will go to the same school kindergarten as g-son this August.
And here are the VIP's of the evening after they were pronounced MR. & MRS.
The reception was inside this centuries old log clubhouse.
The inside was beautiful.
I love this old rock fireplace.
In the invitation there was a note asking for old wedding photos of the guest  and this is what they did with them.
They were placed in quart jars filled with cooking oil and used as table center pieces. On our table was the groom's sisters photo.
I had never seen this before and thought this was really special and the guest had fun searching for the pic they had sent in.

The couples first dance.
They looked very much in love !

The AMEN corner !!!
We had a BBQ supper and a nice visit with family that we haven't seen in quite a while.
On the way back up the mountain Hubbie and I reflected on all the changes in so many of the kids that we used to have running around our house at birthday parties and such. They are all grown up now with kids of their own and some of them If we had met them on the street would not have recognized them.
I am so thankful that God saw fit to give the grooms mom the afternoon free from medical problems that would have prevented her from seeing her youngest son get married. I continue to pray for her and her family as they thread through the coming challenges and pray that they seek comfort in the Lord.
Tonight we have a Super Moon, it is 14% closer to the earth than normal. This is a pic I took just after we arrived home tonight as the moon was rising.

Good Night and God Bless.
