2012 ELECTION DAY

G-son was here extra early this morning so D-in-love cold go vote on her way to work. Our church is the voting place for our district. She called about 30 minutes after she left here at 6:50 and said she had just finished. She said the line was across the parking lot even in the light rain. Even with the early start she was still late for work.Making me very glad hubbie and I cast our votes early.
G-son spent the extra time this morning working in a puzzle book I had found for him He loves Mazes and connect the dots.
As I took him to school I noticed the SUV was still in part of the driveway with the tire gone off it.
She must not have had a spare tire.
I came home and did chores in a cold morning mist. It is about 36 this morning, still not cold enough for frost.
After breakfast I had my devotional Bible reading and then began laundry and housework for the day.
I haven't had time to take the Halloween decorations down so today I got the ones inside all down and piled together out in the sun room waiting for the rain to stop to take them out to the shed for storage.
After lunch I went to pick up g-son as schools closed at 1:00 because of election day. The skies are gray today as I sat in the longer than normal line at school.

This afternoon he helped me pack my Operation Christmas Child boxes. He did a good job of choosing age appropriate things for the boxes. He also was glad to accept the extra things that we couldn't fit into the boxes.
When we finished we had five fully stuffed boxes to bring joy to some child who will be rejoicing to receive a Christmas present.
G-son went back to his puzzle book and I went through my pictures searching for November decade pics to share on here. November is always a pretty non-eventful month but I did manage to find some things photograph worthy in past years in November.
This is my dad and mom on the roof of the house my dad built in November 1952, eleven months after their marriage in January. I have no idea why they both had their pictures taken on the roof !?

Notice that huge bees nest in the tree with my dad !!

#1 son voted on his way home and he said there was no line at that time. G-son  decided he had to have some mac and cheese. His dad told him they had the very same thing at home from the same store but he said it didn't taste as good so he waited for him to eat a pack that I fixed for him. Son said it must be that " Neena touch"  that makes it taste better.
After they left I did chores and checked the rain gauge, it had 1/4" of rain in it for the day. I was surprised as I didn't think it would be that much since the rain has been so light all day. It is already 41 degrees tonight at 8:00, headed for the mid 30's. In the dampness outside it feels much colder than that.
I am setting here blogging listening to the election results and praying that who ever wins tonight will look to God for guidance in the coming years for the good of our country.
I am going to bed early tonight as I didn't sleep well at all last night because the bee sting on my neck hurt until I got so tired I fell asleep even with the pain. The new pillow I bought has a cradle for my neck that hits exactly where the sting was causing pressure and causing it to really hurt.
Praying tonight for our country and the new leaders of tomorrow.
Good Night and God Bless.

Looks like we will all have to try to work together for another four years. God works in mysterious ways and right now I am confused but trust that the Lord will guide us. Hope your bee sting is healing and God bless you.
