BLOCK BLAST SATURDAY

Up early getting ready for market. Surprisingly there has been no more rainfall over night and it looks like it is clearing up this morning. Wonder where all that rain is ???
Daughter brought her baked goods here and then headed back home to catch up on lost sleep after a late night of baking.
Market was hectically busy when we first arrived as two ladies were there , one picking up a four cake order and the other wanting to buy seven caramel cakes.  We got all that done and then got set up.  It was a good day with a steady stream of customers all day.  A lot of folks are already heading south for the winter and taking cakes with them to put in their freezers.
Just after lunch a rain shower came through town but was over before it was time to load the van.
I hope it doesn't rain on our church's Block Blast today.  Rebekah was singing at 1:15 and daughter and d-in-love were volunteering to paint faces for an hour from 1:30-2:30 then they were all leaving.
After market I stopped at Aldi for baking supplies and groceries before heading home.  I am very tired this evening  so I was looking forward to just sitting down in a quiet place for awhile when I got things unloaded.
#2 son, who is feeling almost normal again after the root canal earlier in the week came by and helped hubbie check out and clean out our chimney so hubbie was pooped also.
We decided to fore go the Block Blast this year for the first time I can even remember not going.
Usually hubbie works security, d-in-love plays music and daughter works the booths all day and I am called on to take care of g-son while he does all the fun things for the kids.  Things were all different this year.
I sat out in the sunroom and watched the birds and listened to the sounds of nature for almost two hours and it felt so relaxing.
After chores and supper hubbie and I both took another break out in the patio to watch the sun go down and the last of the clouds from the cold front also drop over the horizon.
G-son got to meet his new little first cousin,Jed, for the first time this evening.
Grateful for the blessings from God that made this day another special day in my life.
Good Night and God Bless.
