POOL DAY AND 1989 MEMORIES

UP to what feels like another hot day after the morning coolness wears off. I got chores done then had breakfast. I needed some baking supplies from Ingles so I met daughter and the girls there to help her shop also.
We all came back here for lunch. Daughter wanted to take IR to d-in-love's pool to hopefully convince her to get in with Addie and RL so that's where we spent the afternoon. But IR refused to get in the pool once again. We can't figure out what has turned her against pools as last year she was in one all the time when they lived in the apartments.
She was content to stand and watch Addie and RL play.

G-son even tried his luck coaxing her in to no avail.
CA slept most of the day inside in the cool house with pawpaw.
We left at about 5:00 and came home for me to bake. I baked 6 caramel, 3 chocolate, 2 pound cakes and 1 pan of brownies. Then we got chores done before I went back in the kitchen to start icing the cakes and getting things all ready for market tomorrow.
To continue the decade series these pics are from June 1989 when we were very busy with activities with our 3 small kids.
#2 son graduated kindergarten that month. His teacher was Mrs. Salatino and assistant was Mrs. Lyda.

Son is 3rd from left looking at the camera .
 He loves his little sister.
Hubbie was the Cub Master for the local cub scout troop and we had a lot of activities that month including cook outs, bike rides and a trip to see an  Asheville Tourist baseball game.
Hubbie cooks while Peggy Lyda one of the scout's mom holds an umbrella to keep the rain off.
At least there was a shed to eat under out of the rain.
Hubbie loads all the bikes in his truck.
Daughter was always along for the fun.
#1 son in the orange "Tiger" shirt with a couple of his friends at the baseball game.
#1 son on the left and #2 son 3rd from left at the game with friends.
And last but certainly not least we made a trip to Garden City SC beach that month.

When I look back at these busy times I wonder how in the world we got all this done while running a farm full time but then I remember we were 30 years younger !!!
Thankful for these fun memories that keep making me smile.
Praying for CA that starting this new medicine will help her gain weight and feel better.
Thankful for the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
