WELCOME SUMMER 2019

Friday morning and some extra zzz's felt really good today.  This is the first day of summer and the longest daylight hours of the year.

We got up and got chores done and then headed out to Sam's Club since hubbie didn't go yesterday with a couple kids in tow.
We got our shopping done and came home for lunch. I gathered the first summer produce from the garden for our salads at lunch, yum I am so glad to start having some fresh produce of our own.

After lunch daughter dropped IR and Addie off on her way to take CA to the cardiologist. Son-in-love is meeting her and going with her today.
I have baking to get done so while hubbie and the girls played outside I baked 12 caramel, 2 chocolate, 2 pound cakes and 2 pans of brownies.
I was just finishing up when daughter got back from the doctor.  The report on CA wasn't as good as we had hoped. On the plus side the doctor said her heart sounds were different and it sounded like the hole might be trying to close which is what we have been praying would happen. And she did gain weight but only 2 ounces according to their scale so he is still greatly concerned with this. They scheduled an electrocardiogram for next week to see what was going on and then make some decisions based on the results from that. If the hole isn't closing and she continues not to gain weight at the rate she needs to they may turn her over to the doctor's in Charlotte where the surgery would have to take place to close the hole in her heart.  We are praying this isn't necessary.
I took a little break to rest my back and knees before chore time and then spent the evening icing cakes and getting things ready for market.
D-in-love took the kids with some friends to Otter Creek water park today and they had a fun time.

The photos of Glazier National park where #2 son and Tif are look really beautiful even with the rainy cold day son said they had today.

Our weather has been pretty nice today and hubbie got the lawn mowed this evening with the predictions on storms for tomorrow he thought he had better use this clear day to get it done. He also sprayed some in the garden to ward off the Japanese beetles that are moving in so we are hoping the rain holds off for a while.
Thankful for the blessings of this day and praying for CA's heart hole to be closing by the grace of our loving Lord.
God Bless and Good Night
