Church was good today and 5 folks came forward to join our church, may all the glory be to God !!
We came home to find #2 son here changing the oil in d-in-love, Tif's mail jeep. #1 son's family, Aa's family, #2 son and Tif were our guest at lunch. Everyone had a great visit and the kids all enjoyed playing with each other.
After everyone left and we heard distant thunder and watched dark clouds start to fill the sky hubbie and I headed to the garden to pick the Greasy Back green beans for canning. We thankfully got them all picked along with the cucumbers and tomatoes that were ready.
We decided to sit out in the covered patio and watch the storms while we broke the beans.
We lucked up and didn't get any of the storms today but the clouds kept the temperature down in the lower 80's which felt really good.
We stopped breaking beans at 6:00 and came in for a snack supper and watched the news before going back out to get chores done.
There is a large Cottonwood tree up at the chicken lots and some of the limbs were getting too close to the power lines so we spent the remainder of the daylight hours today getting them cut and cleaned up out of the yard.
I love this tree for the shade the extra large leaves give but hate when the limbs grow straight up and get close to the power lines. We have to trim limbs about 3 times a year to keep them a safe distance away from the lines.
Daughter came by this afternoon to pick up a package that I had for her and she said CA had been very alert and acted like she felt better today.
We got in the house just after dark and I went straight to the tub as I am itching and burning all over from sweating and getting the leaves of the tree all over me.
I spent the rest of the evening catching up my blog while hubbie finished breaking the green beans.
Thankful for the blessings of this day and praying for CA.

Praising God that CA is feeling better. Our prayer group at church have included her in our prayers.
