CALM BEFORE THE STORM ????

 Friday comes around seemingly quicker each week and this one was really quick to come around. All three grand girls were here this morning and already into building block games in the playroom when I went outside to get chores done. The morning started out really foggy and there were some slick spots on the roads from freezing temps overnight that weren't expected.

Then the sun won the battle and it was a beautiful day with temperatures in the upper 40's and sunshine.

 After I got back inside we all had breakfast together.   More playtime while I did some ironing and hubbie cleaned the window sills in the playroom.  These two had to have a mid morning snack.

We  all took a ride to go pick up lunches since CA needed a nap and this is a sure way to get her to go to sleep. Usually with these two older girls playing she won't nap because she is afraid she will miss something but take all of them for a ride and she will stay a sleep when we get back even through the noise these 2 make. 

RL, IR, hubbie and me had lunch when we got back and then they were very good at playing quietly and let CA get a good long nap.  

I hope these 2 always feel about each other as they do now most of the time and we are going to have to beat the boys off when these beauties get older for sure !!!!

CA woke up and had her lunch then all three girls watched TV and played while hubbie and I sat in the living room with them.  IR remembered that d-in-love had said she would take them for ice cream on Friday and they held her to that promise when she came in. IR has transitioned to being afraid to ride with d-in-love to asking her to take her places.  After they all left hubbie and I watched the early news of the impending snow storm that is supposed to start tomorrow evening. We are under a winter storm watch.

All the weather folks have slowly come into agreement that we will get several inches of snow in our area.  One of them did say as far as the amount that all the ingredients were certainly there for a major snow but they all have to come together at the exact time. So I guess we will wait and see what we get at least it is happening on the weekend.

There was a beautiful sunset tonight .  The calm before the storm !!

I baked 3 caramel cakes tonight and then relaxed for the evening after getting my exercise done.
