LEAVES ARE TURNING QUICKLY

After chores and breakfast this morning I had some Avon deliveries to make.
I took along my camera as usual and saw some pretty leaf color.I also went by one of my favorite places, the Highland Lake waterfall.
I finished the deliveries and was back home before lunch to ice 6 more caramel cakes.
After lunch I cleaned all the floors and swept the already falling leaves off all the porches and patios.
I rested in the warm sunshine for 30 minutes before the clouds took the sky over again.
We got another 1/2 inch of rain last night. I dumped out 1" total rain from the system that passed through yesterday from the gauge this morning. We are supposed to get rain again tomorrow. I'm glad to see the dry leaves get some moisture on them to reduce the fire hazard.
Hubbie came in from work and we had boiled cabbage again before he headed to work over at daughter's house.
While he was gone I did chores and added some more height to the chicken lot gate that some of my pullets insist on roosting on after one of them flew over and Sadie almost had chicken dinner.
I looked around and saw some of the prettiest color right here at our farm.

When darkness ran me inside out of the beautiful fall day I started on 2 weeks of paperwork and bill paying, yuck!!!
These tasks took over 2 hours, whew !! I still need to close out the month of September but my brain was too tired tonight.
I still have chocolate and coconut cakes to ice tonight when daughter finishes her baking.
Bless Bernie's heart tonight as he is sick at his stomach, hope he didn't get into something really bad outside.

Thanking God for a blessed , beautiful day .
Good Night and God Bless.

I don't think I have ever seen the leaves turn as quickly as they have this year. Beautiful pictures.

Our Lucy often gets an upset stomach. We give her canned pumpkin (not pie mix) instead of her food and it seems to clear things up in 24 hours or so.
