CUTE LITTLE MORNING HELPER

Up early to get ready for little Evy this morning. D-in-love has a doctor's appointment this morning so she is taking g-son to school.
Evy's mom has to go into her work for a meeting so I will have help with the chores this morning.
She's not so sure about this early morning ride !!

This little girl is all country as she loves to watch old Snowball as she grazes.

And I think she would like to move into the hen house !!! She happily watched them for quite awhile and tried to talk to them as well.

This is the October garden. We have Kale started and a few collards came up. We are still digging potatoes but there aren't many this year. The tall tomato vines are still green but are producing very few tomatoes. However with the mild temperatures so far the garden is hanging on longer than usual.

After a tiring morning of chores we watched some Cedarmont kids musical videos that g-son used to love when he was about Evy's age.
When her mom got here she was starting to nod off for a nap.
I spent the rest of the morning baking cakes, 12 caramel,2 pound and 2 blackberry wine cakes.
After lunch I finished some jobs I had started yesterday including closing these 6 apple cushions I stuffed earlier.

Putting buttons on the 3 towels I crocheted tops on while waiting in the car rider line at g-son's school, getting tags attached to all the Boo Boo Bunnies I made over at Rebekah's on Monday and getting some of the final fall decorations up occupied my afternoon.

I picked up g-son and dropped him off with is dad who had gotten home from work early.
I got Sadie the dog to eat some dog food with diamateous earth mixed in to help rid her system of anything that might be making her sick. She does drink water and she appears to be getting a bit stronger so maybe this will help her recovery.
I had to laugh at her as she was sitting on the back steps when the UPS truck came tonight and as she jumped down and ran down the drive barking the truck stopped and hubbie yelled for Sadie to stop. She stopped but got off balance and the poor thing just fell over on her side so hubbie had to go down and pick her up. The UPS driver who comes to our house regularly said she looked like one of those "fainting goats" !!
After evening chores I did paperwork, paid bills and iced cakes until after 11:00.
Our government shut down at midnight last night in a disagreement over budget concerns and a lot of federal workers are layed off work until an agreement can be reached.

Another wonderfully busy, full of life day !! I'm glad God is ultimately in control !!!
Good Night and God Bless.

Carolina Nana,

Evy is so adorable, now that's the type of help I love around the house :-)

Please tell me where and how do you get all of your energy?
