GOOD COMPANY ON THIS BUSY CANNING DAY

Got a call from d-in-love early this morning saying she and the kids were coming up here to stay until it warmed up. Their heat pump stopped working last night and the house was really cold this morning. It was 31 again at 6:00 when hubbie left for work so it probably got a little lower. There looked like there was more frost this morning than yesterday.

I did chores and we all had breakfast. G-daughter got to try out the new swing I bought for her.
G-son has a bad cough and didn't feel like going to school today so he is here also.
While they slept and played games on the computer d-in-love edited some of the pictures she took of daughter and Josh Sunday. This is one of the pretty ones.
I was in the kitchen making pepper/onion relish from the pepper harvest we did before the freeze.
I had 3 & 1/2 pints for the pantry.
D-in-love left the kids here after lunch and went to Walmart. G-daughter woke from her nap and stretched like she was enjoying her day.
I gave her a bottle and she was a happy little girl and cute too .
After d-in-love got back they headed home to meet the repair man and see what was wrong with the heat pump. Their house had warmed up in the 65 degree sunshine of the day.
Thankfully the heat pump was just low on free-on and was back up and running this evening.
I was back in the kitchen after a little housework time this afternoon.
I turned the last harvest of hot banana peppers into 13 half pints and 2 pints of delicious hot mustard sauce. Re has been making this from an old family recipe she shared with me.

I also turned the jalopeno and cayenne peppers into 8 half pints of hot pepper jelly. It looked very Christmas like !!

I had a  successful day of preserving the bounty that God blessed me with this gardening year !!
Daughter's team won their volleyball game this evening finishing their conference season in 2nd place.
Bernie is having a rough night with his heart congestion tonight so I upped his meds again, poor thing. At least the medicine works great and relaxes him.
Another great late October day comes to an end. I can't believe that October is almost over and it is hard to believe this little angel is already 6 weeks old.
Grateful to God for the wonderful day today and for the chance to be a big part of my grand kids lives and watch them grow up.
Good Night and God Bless

You were really busy today. I wish I had your ambition to do all that canning. Your granddaughter sure is a little cutie. Blessings
