MARKET DAY AND MORE HURRICANE NEWS

The rain has stopped this morning at least for now.  I did chores and got ready for market. There was an additional 2/10ths in the rain gauge this morning bringing our total so far to 6/10ths inch.
Market was pretty busy today with all the extra folks in town. I got my new Fall table cloth on today.
I left market and went to Aldi for baking supplies and groceries. The wind has really gotten up and the rain is still blowing so the hurricane conditions are still hanging around.
Hubbie helped me unload and put things away when I got home.
We watched the weather channel showing the hurricane battering the areas where we usually vacation.
The images from farther south are coming in and they are disturbing.
The historic Savanna Georgia took a beating from the wind and storm surge.
Major roads in both South and North Carolina are flooded and closed today. This woman walks down a flooded road in Georgia.
Edisto Beach in SC took a hard hit with beach homes destroyed.
And the streets of Wilmington were badly flooded this evening.
There are reports of Piers destroyed even the Oak Island Pier that we fished off last year has collapsed.
Rain has been falling inland several miles at the rate of 3 inchs and hour all the way to Raleigh,NC.
Here this evening was very calm and the sky started to clear late .

Happy anniversary to Aa and Re today as they celebrate 5 years of wedded bliss !!!!  El and BB stayed with us this evening while they went out for a nice dinner in town.
Praying for all the storm victims tonight. As I saw the worried looks on the faces of some folks who came through market today as they prepare to head back to their homes tomorrow to see what they will find it made me thank God more feverantly for the place He chose to for me.
Feeling very blessed tonight.
God Bless and Good Night
