ISLE OF PALMS DAY 3

Woke by IR banging into the bedroom door with her walker jabbering trying to get us up.
I didn't sleep as well last night as I did the night before strangely since usually the first night in a different bed is a no sleeper for me then I die the second night.
We had breakfast then daughter, IR ,hubbie and I took a long walk on the beach. It was pretty desolate this morning down here and a nice wide beach at low tide.

After our walk we got in the Honda and drove down the island just to check the area out and then stopped at Harris Teeter for some groceries. IR loves shopping especially when everything round is a ball to her and she had to hold our head of lettuce today all around the store.
We came back to the condo and had an early lunch then hubbie and I went to meet #1 son's family on the beach while IR took a nap inside the quiet condo.

Daughter and IR made their way to the beach after her nap and we discovered IR isn't afraid of the water  and waves at all and didn't mind getting the scratchy sand all over her.

Now it was RL's turn for a nap but she was too worn out to make it back to the condo.

G-son loves the ocean and is too brave for me !!!

After RL woke up and the tide got pretty high we headed for the pool for awhile.

D-in-love needed to make a Target run so we all came inside to change into dry clothes and then she headed out on her own and the rest of us walked down to the Pizzaria and had a nice delicious supper .
The kids all enjoyed the pizza and g-son said it was delicious !!!
We walked into a beach shop next door when we finished eating and I bought all the kids a beach toy then we went for ice cream at the same ice cream shop we went to last night.
The girls both really get into their cones !!!!

And g-son choose a funnel cake instead of ice cream and he said it was very good. This growing boy seems to have a hallow leg for sure these days.
We met d-in-love back at the park next to our condos and the kids all enjoyed playing .

We ended the night back at the pool with RL and g-son while daughter got IR in bed.
G-son played with the new water skipping ball he choose at the beach shop first with hubbie and then with another boy in the pool.

We have had a beautiful sunny hot day but the ocean got much rougher this evening as Chris turned into a category 1 hurricane and started his track away from land.

Thankful for another wonderfully blessed and fun vacation day.
God Bless and Good Night
