RAIN DELAYS OUR TRAVEL DAY

After my 1:00am bedtime last night and then couldn't slow my busy mind down for a long time to allow sleep to finally come , I am one tired lady this morning as I crawl out of bed to get chores done and get ready for market.
Only good thing about this morning is the cool air making it feel more like Fall than July.
Market was very busy again today and I had a good sales day.
Hubbie stayed and helped until after lunch then left to get home and glean the garden and get all the dishes washed.
I left market at regular time just as a light rain started to fall. All the way home it rained sometimes heavy sometimes lightly making this 73 degree temperature feel very cool.
Hubbie and I got things unloaded just in time before the heavy rain reached here. We came inside and watched the rain pour and looked at the radar to see how long this was going to hang around.
Talked to daughter and son-in-love who were already at the beach and waiting to get checked into our condo and they were sitting through a terrible storm down there.

Talked to #1 son and he said they had driven through rain almost all the way there this afternoon.
As hubbie and I watched the rain continue to fall for 2 hours we knew we wouldn't be leaving today for the beach.  We don't like driving in the rain or at night so we knew if we didn't get left by at least 5:00 we couldn't go today. Since we have about 2 hours of getting animals all fed and watered and getting the car packed when the rain continued past 3:00 we didn't want to get things wet getting them into the car and we didn't feel like getting soaked getting everything else done we relaxed and rested until it did finally turn to a very light rain around 6:30.
We filled all the chicken and dog feeders and waterers and then packed the Honda with everything we need to take and I was right it took 2 hours before we were back inside to have a late supper as both of us worked up an appetite and sweat getting things all done.
Thankful that the kids made it safely and all the grands were enjoying the beach after the rain down there this evening.

I miss being there as the kids ran down to the beach for the first time since last year but sometimes things just don't seem to be supposed to happen.
One night last week I had a thought that if it rained Saturday evening we would have to wait until Sunday morning but didn't expect that to actually happen.
Last night all the weather folks said the rains would all be pushed out of the area with a cold front that was coming through by this morning or at least by noon but that didn't happen so hopefully they will be correct in saying things are going to clear out overnight.
In this view out over the ocean from our condo building looks like the clouds are there also.

This system seems to be growing but it will eventually get pushed away by the same cold front that is coming through.

Prayerfully thankful for the traveling mercies for the kids today and praying for God to extend them for hubbie and I as we travel tomorrow .
Thankful for all the other blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
