ISLE OF PALMS DAY 4

Another sunny hot morning to start this day. IR was in another happy mood and running up and down the hallway in her walker when I woke up.
After having a leisurely breakfast we sat out on our patio and watched the shrimp boats move up and down the coastline.
The ocean looks really rough this morning as a result of the strengthening of Chris to a Category 2 hurricane this morning.
Hubbie, daughter ,IR and I hit the beach early to stake out a claim to some of the pier shade. We got a prime spot and set all our playthings and chairs .
IR liked her play mat daughter sat out for her.

Soon #1 son's family joined us and all the kids played in the sand today building sandcastles.

RL and I walked down the beach to pick up some shells and she discovered a dead bird that had washed up on the beach and made me go get a shovel and dig a hole so we could bury the bird. G-son came to help and said a really nice prayer after we covered  the grave with sand and then they decorated it with seashells.
We took turns going inside for lunch so we wouldn't loose our spot of shade on this 93 degree sunny day.
Aa's family arrived about 2:00 and we helped get them unloaded and then we took all the kids to the beach while they went after groceries.

All the kids loved the ocean, especially EL who kept saying how beautiful it was !!
CO helped g-son add to his castle as she loves building things.

And these 2 are always on the same wave link which a lot of the time isn't a good thing !!!

We all went to the pool as the tide got high and took over most of the beach.
The kids loved playing together in the pool !!

All day beach and pool makes for some hungry kids so we called in pizza orders and hubbie and I walked down to the Pizzaria and picked them up and we all ate supper together at the park next door on the picnic tables.
There wasn't very many pieces left of the 5 pizzas we brought .
We came inside for the evening tonight early as everyone is tired and sunburned for the heat of the day.
Thankful for traveling mercies for Aa's family today and thankful for all the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
