Celebrating this Easter morning sunrise different from any other in my lifetime. The cloudy morning is hiding the sun but you can still see a ribbon of sunlight just above the mountains to let us know that the dawn of this resurrection Sunday has arrived.
Hubbie and I got chores done just before the rain began.
We spent the morning fixing Easter lunch for everyone. We had ham,mac and cheese, green beans, corn, deviled eggs, biscuits and sweet tea. #1 son's family , daughter's family and Aa's family joined us for lunch. We all had a nice visit and the kids loved playing with each other.
After everyone left hubbie and I sat and watched the rain fall all afternoon. It has rained almost exactly 1" today and it's been a good slow soaking rain which is what we needed. However the storms that are predicted overnight are going to be a lot worse with high winds , pouring rain, thunder and lightening and tornadoes. And the middle of the night timing is dangerous.
We caught a break in the heavy rains and got evening chores done thankfully and then had a light supper of left overs before relaxing for the evening.
RL made some Easter cookies this evening.
We are very thankful for our health and the Lord's protective arms during this stromy night and these trying days and very very thankful for our Savior Jesus Christ who died on that cross to save us from our sins.
Today we celebrate the happiest day , the day He arose from the grave to sit at the hand of His Father in Heaven.
Pray endlessly !!!
