SEVERE OVERNIGHT STORMS

Very thankful to wake up this morning with our power still on and no major storm damage around the farm.
I didn't get much sleep last night as the wind, rain, thunder and lightening was impossible to sleep through.
I don't know when we have had such a terrible storm that lasted for hours. The wind blew the rain against the south facing windows of our bedroom so hard that I thought for sure the window glass would break right out, whew !!!!

Crazy scary night and more crazy scary scenes this morning on the news stories.

Our senior pastor's younger brother's home was one of the victims as this huge pine tree split their garage in half and crushed their car.

#2 son who delivered mail all around town today said there was many house and streets with trees in them on his routes.
As for us we had multiple limbs scattered all around the yard and in my chicken lots and we lost this old apple tree down in the pasture and several more trees up this fence line and a flooded bottom pasture.

It blew the roofing off #1 son's storage building.

Daughter called early and said they were going to get breakfast at Chick-f-la and coming here because their power was out.
We got chores done then we all had breakfast together.
RL came to play also while her mom took their new puppy to the vet for his shots.
The kids all had a good time playing.
Daughter and I went to her house and got food out of her frig and freezer and while we were there #2 son called and said to do the same at his house since his power went off at about 2am . D-in-love Tif went by and put everything in a plastic container for us to pick up.
Thankfully we have plenty of refrigerator and freezer space right now.
I feel sorry for all the people that have been over shopping for food and now don't have power to keep things cold.
We ate lunch when we got home and then after son-in-love finished his on-line work for the day they all went home when their power came back on around 2:00 this afternoon. IR was totally tuckered out after her early morning wake up and hard play time.
Hubbie worked on some leaky spots around the roofs of our buildings and porches and I got weekly laundry done this afternoon.
The day is sunny but the wind is still blowing pretty good making it feel cooler than the low 70's temps.
We got chores done and then rested for the evening.
#2 son finally got his power back on around 7:30 this evening so d-in-love Tif is coming tomorrow after their food to go back in their frig and freezer.
Thankful for the protective arms of our Lord on us last night. All I could think about while I layed in bed listening to the storm was that our Lord must be really mad at all of us right now with all the bad that is in the world right now. Maybe this is the awakening that many of us need to renew our love for Jesus and all that He did for us.
God Bless and Good Night

I am so thankful that you all are okay and that the worst for your kids was a power outage. Thank you Lord. Sometimes I wonder the same thing - if God is mad at us.. But Then I remember that He loves us and this is not His anger but the work of the devil to make us doubt our faith and our God. Sounds more to me like the end of time is coming as predicted in Revelations. Just thankful God protected you all. Blessings
