DODGED A HUGE ICE STORM BULLET

We dodged another huge bullet today ! Our ice coating was minimal thanks to a temperature that hovered around 33-34 degrees all day with continuous rain fall. This morning there was icicles on everything.
It has been a bitterly cold miserable day all day and tonight it is still raining lightly at 11:30 but it has warmed to 37 degrees.I can't imagine the amount of ice we would have had if the temperatures had been a couple degrees colder !!!
As for my day, I got a surprise call from the builder I had called almost 2 months ago about replacing all our windows this morning.
He came by and measured and is supposed to call in a couple days with a quote. He said he had gotten sick right after I called and hadn't been able to work since then.
The only problem I think we'll have in doing this is I would like the bow window in our living room replaced and he said he thought a replacement window like I want would cost almost $2,000 which is not in my budget for 1 window. He said he would talk to his salesman to see what they could come up with.
After lunch I went to work at church for a while and then came home to tackle cleaning out a hall closet but after taking a few things out I realized how tired I was feeling and decided to put this job off as I need to go back to finish work at church tonight and thought I had better rest a bit. I keep wondering how long it is going to take me to get my strength back after being sick. At least today I do feel better than yesterday so maybe I'm on the mend, slowly but surely. I know part of the problem is because I still don't have my lower partial back so I can't chew food and believe me it is no fun eating anything at this point, trying to chew with only my front teeth. The upside to this week is getting on the scales for my weekly weigh in Sunday night !!!
Sloshing through evening chores I feel sorry for the animals in all this nasty cold rain, although they all have dry houses to get into.
After a sub sandwich which Hubbie stopped and picked up on his way home, which seemed to take me forever to eat. He and I headed back to church to finish the weekly work.
Back home daughter did her baking and was finishing up just as we got home.
With several orders for Super Bowl Sunday parties hopefully market will be busy tomorrow.
I'm headed for bed early tonight as I'm feeling tired tonight.
Thanking God for the blessings of today and praying for His blessings on tomorrow.
Good Night and God Bless.

Glad for the weather break, that could have been REALLY nasty.

Hope you regain your strength soon. There is nothing worse than knowing how to doing something and not being able to do it.

Listen to your body and rest.

Stay warm and have a blessed weekend.
