FIRE BURNS NEIGHBORS BUSINESS

A beautiful morning but a still cold 30 degrees on the way to market.
A very slow market day, I spent catching up reading yesterday's blogs that I didn't have time for and then I made 6 towel angels from towels found in my office/sewing room this week.
After market I went to the Co-op for some nice organic Kale to have for supper.
I met a friend with her Avon order at Aldi and picked up a few extra groceries while there.
Our community is grieving with my next door neighbor's family today as their family business burned to the ground early this morning.
They had been in business for about 30 years and had no insurance. The building was a total loss and the cause of the fire is still under investigation but they think it was an electrical short and do not suspect foul play of any kind.
These neighbors live just across the creek form us and also raise cattle on their farm.
I cannot believe they did not have insurance on a business of that size.
I pray for them tonight ,that God will lead them through this.
When I got home #1 son was still here, he and Hubbie have worked all day clearing the cut trees from last Saturday.
They were just finishing up and came inside for a piece of left over cake before son went home.
Hubbie went back outside to work on pruning our muscadine grapes and I went to work in my office.
I'm ready for the old furniture now and tomorrow we will bring it to the front porch so I can give it a good cleaning before bringing it inside.
Then I'll begin the process of putting things away.
I need to get back in the picture taking mode, each night when I write my blog I miss not having pictures to post.
I'm wondering what project I'll think of when I get this done ????
HOPE EVERYONE HAS A WONDERFUL VALENTINES DAY TOMORROW.
Good Night and God Bless.

Hi Marilyn, That's terrible about that family losing its business... Wonder why they didn't have insurance? What a shame.

I'm sure you'll find another project once you finish your office... There are always things which need to be done, aren't there?????

Have a good Sunday --and Happy Valentine's Day
Hugs,
Betsy

That is terrible but many people can no longer afford insurance...on their home even.

Maybe the community will pull together and help out.

I want pictures of your office space...
