BUSY MARKET DAY

Whew !!!  It's been a long , busy  day !
Started early with chores before market. I made it to market on time for a change on a Thursday !
I had a busy market selling day with a couple bus load's of folks on day tours.
I was planning on catching up on my blog reading today between customers but I didn't get a chance to even turn my laptop on. Which is a good thing, believe me I'm not complaining about that !
I left market and ran routine errands and picked up baking supplies for Saturday which has a couple nice orders already in it. I also stopped by the barn building place and got some estimates for the size barn we need.
I got home at about 4:30 and unloaded and got things put away before hubbie came in from work.
I was fortunate enough today to be on the receiving end of some nice things that a couple neighbors didn't sell. One was a bag of mustard greens which we promptly cooked up for an early supper.
This is the other nice gift ,these are so beautifully blue ,I wish they would dry this color but I know they won't. I'll sure enjoy them for a while.

After hubbie and I went over the barn estimates, we have decided to build the barn ourselves. We will start grading the site this weekend.

Our place looked like a busy little bee hive this evening. Daughter came by to pick up her baking supplies I picked up for her and had some of our supper of fresh greens. #1 son is up at the shop changing oil in his vehicles, #2 son came up to get the pressure washer to wash the siding on his house.Hubbie and #1 son who is going to operate the machine to do the site prep Saturday layed out an idea of where the barn will go depending on how many big rocks they hit while clearing.
I did chores and watered plants since the threat of rain seems to have passed.
The temperature today got up to 76 degrees with mostly sunshine.
Tonight I baked  cakes to get a headstart on tomorrow. I baked 18 caramel, 2 chocolate, 1 coconut and a 3-tiered caramel cake for a birthday of a good friend of mine.
I'll bake the pound cakes and wine cakes in the morning and start the icing.
It is 11:15 and I just got the last cakes out of the ovens so I'm not far behind regular schedule and I am beat. My back is still very sore  and has contributed to my tiredness tonight so I'm looking forward to a good hot tub soak and a nice peaceful night of sleep.
Thanking God for the blessings of good business and for my good health tonight as well as beautiful flowers and delicious vegetables from His gardens. And asking for His guidance in the up coming changes that are coming for our family.
Good Night and God Bless.

Hi Marilyn, YES---being busy at the market is 'music to your ears' I'm sure... Sounds like you are going to be busy on Saturday also.

That's a big undertaking --building your own barn, isn't it???? You all are amazing!!!!!

Take care of that back --and I hope you have time to enjoy some of this fabulous weather.
Hugs,
Betsy

Hooray for tour buses! Glad things are going well. Given the other projects you and hubbie have done I have no doubt the barn raising will go just fine.
