REGULAR GET READY FOR MARKET WEDNESDAY

G-son arrived at 7 with his entourage of stuffed animals and blankets. We had trouble getting the Direct TV going on the TV in the bedroom so he opted for a Blues Clues DVD while I rested until my alarm went off at 8.
I HOPE he is this bright eyed when it is time for him to go to school !
My kids were a pain to get up and ready for school in the mornings.
It is already getting hot today at chore time this morning.Everything out here is already seeking a shady spot.

After breakfast, exercise, and toasting about 5 waffles for a boy who seems to have a hollow leg lately and can't get filled up I started my baking . I baked 18 caramel,3 chocolate,1 pound and 1 wine cake.
The skies clouded up in the early afternoon and thunder started in the distance. The temperature reached 88 before cooling slightly with the passing storms. Thankfully we stayed dry today and the thunder stayed in the distance.
G-son built a fort in the living room while I was baking and he was contentedly playing in it with all his stuffed animals when his dad came after him.
When hubbie came in from work we rested and watched the news.
Chore time was on time today for the first time this week.
I worked in my office after supper catching up with the weeks business and bills.
Then I iced cakes for a couple hours. My back is screaming from all the stirring and spreading.
A hot bath and a soft pillow are going to feel amazing when I get there for sure. Some nights when I watch hubbie hit the hay early I get jealous, but then I remember he has to get up at 5am and the jealousy fades quickly !!
Thanking God for the blessings of this day.
Good Night and God Bless.

Hi, No rain today --but some may come tonight or tomorrow. We've only had a tiny bit this week --and are getting back to being TOO DRY again... Darn it!

We drove to Tullahoma today to visit G's dad... He'll be 100 on August 29... Think he'll make it!!!!!! We're having a party for him on the 25th.

Hugs,
Betsy
