SUPER BOWL SUNDAY

Snow flurries were really pretty as I watched out the window while getting ready for church.

They didn't last long but the wind and cold weather was a reminder that this is the season for snow flakes.
Church was good, our associate Pastor did a great job stepping in for our senior Pastor who is in Turkey. When I took my case of soup in I was proud to see several more cases and lots of bags with several cans of soup in them for our annual souper bowl Sunday where we collect for the IAM  ministry's food closet.
Everyone made it for a lunch of applewood baked pork loin, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes and rolls.
#2 son came in with the news that his heat pump stopped running again and the cold woke him up at 2am. He had to make a trip to Walmart for fuses which got the emergency heat to working at least.
Hubbie went with him back to his house after lunch to try some different things while on the phone with my cousin the heat and air man. Nothing worked so they will have to work on it tomorrow.
#1 son changed the oil in both of their vehicles while d-in-love and g-son went with daughter to her house to help her clean and get ready for the super bowl party she is having there for the church youth group tonight. She has about 20 people coming over.
Being left here alone I filled all the bird feeders for the hungry, cold little feathered friends and then cleaned up the desk from the barn that we moved into the basement last week.
Hopefully tomorrow will be the day I can get it moved into my office.
The wind has blown hard all day and with a temperature holding around 40 degrees it feels really cold out there.
Hubbie went to a Deacon's meeting this afternoon and I downloaded the last 6 months of my blog to Blurb to get started on my next book. I love these books and love going back through the years to check out what I was doing on this day in the past.
As I did evening chores the wind chilled me to the bone and it didn't take me long to get them done and get back inside.
Hubbie and I aren't football fans so we searched for something to watch on TV but on Sunday nights there isn't a lot of choice.
It really didn't matter to me as I snuggled with my 4-legged kids and got toasty warm I napped until the halftime show of loud music woke me up.
Then after the first play the lights in the entire stadium went out. I'm sure all the folks that payed that enormous amount of ticket money are feeling a bit uneasy sitting in the dark !
After about a thirty minute delay the lights gradually came back on and play resumed with the score Baltimore Ravens 28, San Francisco 49ers  6 . At the end the score was Baltimore 34, San Fran  31.
I am sitting here working on my blog book listening to the game with one ear and the howling wind outside with the other. Sounds like our county should have been shaded tan also.
Daughter called and said her church youth super bowl party went very well, she had about 20 kids and 6 adults at her house.
Thankful to the Lord for the blessings of the day and for my family and church family.
Good Night and God Bless.

Sorry you all didn't get any of our weekend snow. Ours is all gone today--and the temperatures in Tullahoma (where we are visiting Dad Adams) are up to 60 degrees today... WOW--feels nice!!!

WE watched the big game also- but did it in order to watch the commercials.. Loved the Clydesdale commercial and the one about the farmers.

Hugs,
Betsy
