APRIL FOOLS DAY 2013

G-son was here at 7am this morning, to begin his spring break week he wanted to go back to sleep for a while. That was just fine with hubbie and I.
After chores and breakfast I made a trip to Sam's Club while hubbie got g-son his breakfast. I needed to pick up some things to cook for the new parents,(our renters) and their guest when they bring the new baby home.
Back home I got a pork loin in the oven and made another 7-layer salad to go with a caramel cake.
Hubbie went over to daughters to help her finish painting her front porch.
G-son and I had a late Easter party.
We went outside and played for awhile in the warm sunshine. He made his first imaginary trip in the hammock.
I offered to hide some Easter eggs but he said he was too big for that game !!  Oh My !!
As he played I noticed my tulips that are always so pretty when they bloom. These tulips must be very tasty for the rabbits around here.
There are no bite marks on these Iris's that are right next to the tulips.
Or the tender Hosta greens that are just peeking through the ground.
Or any of the lillies in this bed.
Not even this huge bed of Oregano that has stayed green all winter long have rabbit bites on it.
G-son's dad came to pick him up and I started the evening chores.
I moved a white setting Silkie into the brooder box where the red silkie abandoned her eggs last week. I broke the eggs and they all had chicks started in them but the growth of the chicks was not near hatching time so that hen must have known she was sitting on unhatchable eggs.
Hopefully the 2 in the brooder condo that are supposed to hatch this coming weekend will have been able to keep theirs warm.
Hubbie came in about 6:00 after finishing the painting job, daughter sent me this picture. It looks really good.
Rebecca got to come home with her baby tonight so I took the food down for their supper. That baby is so cute and she is so alert to be only one day old !

The grandparents who drove from Iowa and a cousin from Ohio were there to help out so things will be fine for sure.
This first day of April has felt more like normal with a 62 degree temperature and sunshine. Hopefully this nice weather isn't Mother Nature's April Fool's joke on us as the "s" word is back in the forecast later in the week.
Hope you all had a happy April  fools day !

Thanking God for the blessings of today and looking forward to what He has in store for me tomorrow.
Good Night and God Bless.

Hi There, Love the little blurb about being wealthy!!!!! I read it outloud to hubby... CUTE!!!

Sounds like you had a good day. We had a nice day here today--first one in awhile.

The deer got to some of our tulips last week.. Dang it!!!! They are probably anxious to see some Spring too....

Cute little baby. I'm sure they enjoyed the food you took them..

Daughter's porch looks nice.. OH---did son sell his house yet? I may have missed a post last week....

Hope tomorrow is as nice!!!
Hugs,
