EASTER DECORATING AND A MARCH 1846 EARLY MEMORY

Up and out early this morning after getting g-daughter back to sleep for her morning nap.  I was really surprised when I checked the rain gauge as there was only 3/10ths inch in there. Just as I went to bed last night the bottom dropped out and the rains where pouring down with wind gusts sending the rain drops sideways against the bedroom windows. By the sound of the rain I would have thought for sure there would have been more .
After chores and breakfast I did my sewing projects for today. I have a "ruffler or gatherer" foot for my machine that I have never used so I thought I would try it out today. Out of the body of the baby bonnet that I couldn't use yesterday because of a cut in the fabric I made a ruffle for this medium size bonnet. I think it turned out really pretty but it did add a significant amount of time to making it.
G-daughter woke up and was content to watch the sewing projects being made until it was lunchtime.
She is such a great baby.
After lunch I sat her on the bed and gave her the phone so she could call 911 if I fell while going up and down the attic stairs ,haha !!!!
This is her "you're not really going up there are you" look of concern !
This is her face of relief when I was finished.
Each year when I start going up and down these steps for my spring, summer and fall decorations I wonder when it will be the last time I am able to make this journey. Thankful to God I can still do it with His help !
While she took her afternoon nap I got all the Easter decorations in place.
After d-in-love picked her up instead of heading for the couch I went through my photos for the March decade pics. I had a scare when I was finished downloading them all and couldn't find them in my files where they usually show up. Luckily I did find them I just have to figure out how to get them in their proper place now !!
One really early March happening I found was the March 15,1846 birth of my great uncle. W.F.Pryor or Franklin as he was called was my paternal grandfather's only brother. This picture is very old also and is of Franklin's family.
After chores and supper I did weekly paperwork and payed bills then I did the February business paperwork from market. February was a pretty good month but the weekly total averaged out for the first two months of this year is depressing as usual this time of year.
Hubbie and I watched Survivor on TV then he went to bed and I blogged.
The weather today has been cool with the highs struggling to reach 40 degrees with a brisk wind making it feel below freezing. Tonight at 10:00 it is 31 and winter is going to give us another blast tomorrow evening with snow from winter storm Quo as it moves east.

Grateful to God for a wonderful day and for the blessing of His hand to hold each day as I go through this life.
God Bless and Good Night

i know how you feel about the stairs. I too am grateful to God that I am still able to walk up and down stairs as my washer and dryer are in the basement. You bonnets turned out so cute. Have a blessed day and may God continue to bless you and your family.
