NORTH CAROLINA PRIMARY VOTING DAY

Another mid 50's wake up temperature at 7am today as g-daughter arrived. She went back to sleep right away and took a good long nap not waking up until 10:00 today.
While she slept I did the chores, had breakfast and got some sewing done for the day. I sewed up 12 of these small eyelet lace pillows to be stuffed and closed in the coming days.
I was doing some ironing when g-daughter finally woke this morning. After a morning bottle she was in a wonderful smiley mood and played in her high chair  while I finished  some housework .
She is such a great baby.
We took a walk outside in the warm sunshine and looked at all the new blooms and buds that have burst forth in just one week of this warm weather.
This is the Woods Hyacinths popping up all around.
This flowering Peach tree is starting to bloom.
The Pear trees are getting leaves and buds.
A patch of Dead Nettle is starting to bloom around the greenhouse.
The Blueberries are forming.
And the Blackberries are leafing out.
And this Plum tree has burst into full bloom in the last few days.

The Periwinkle is finally in bloom along the driveway bank.
The Roses are all leafed out already.
Forsythia is brilliantly yellow this time of year.
And even one of the Azaleas along the south facing slopes is putting out blooms.
And the Redbud trees around the yard look stunning as the branches are beginning to get covered with their namesake red buds.

As we walked by the chicken houses these two "yard birds" are still minding their own business and staying out of trouble.
After lunch g-daughter took another short nap before her mom came to pick her up at 2:15 to get her to her 6 month check-up. She was declared very healthy and at 17 lbs is in the 90% for height and 70% for weight making her about perfect as she celebrates her 27 weeks b-day.
This is a pic comparison of her and her dad when he was about the same age.

I spent the 45 minutes before time to pick up g-son from school soaking up the 78 degree sunshine that was really hot today. The news said tonight this is a record warm spell for mid March around here but reality is on its way for the week end as snow could be seen Sunday with much colder temps.

G-son and I stopped at Dollar General like old times today and he came home happily ready to eat some mac and cheese and get ready for his "playdate" with his aunt T.
They played "barn" baseball until the heat outside ran them back inside to cool down.

Their cheering squad up at the barn looked like they could use some cooling off also.
After they left hubbie and I did chores and had supper then relaxed for the evening.
I hope you exercised your right to vote today as North Carolina had its primary elections today.
In the presidential race Donald Trump was the Republican nominee and Hilary Clinton was the Democratic nominee for our state today.  Just for the record I voted for neither of these two !!
Looking forward to what God will do in this election and always so so glad that no matter who is president God is King !!!!
God Bless and Good Night.

Wow, g-daughter sure looks like her dad. Thank you for all the lovely pictures of spring flowers coming to bloom. It is still a ways off here in WI, but I have seen a few starting to pop out of the ground. I need Spring to arrive. Primary voting in WI isn't until April 5th. Have a great day and Blessings
