BUSY BAKING FRIDAY

The last Friday of RL's pre-school this year started with her overly excited and ready to get to school before I even got the chores finished.
Hubbie and IR went along this morning also as RL begged for IR to walk in with her and see her class .
So we all went in and thanked the teachers for the good year that RL has had and we are hoping there will be an opening for IR in this class next year.
After we left there we stopped by a couple yard sales but found very little, hubbie did luck up on leather belts at one of them and got several for only $1 each that fit him.
We came home and had a late breakfast and then I got started with a busy baking day while hubbie and IR played outside.
I baked 12 caramel , 3 chocolate , 6 pound cakes and a pan of brownies. I still had things in the ovens when daughter came to pick up IR.
This is Garden Jubilee weekend so I expect a big crowd in town and I am optimistically hoping they will spend some money with us instead of just taking up our parking spaces.
After a brief rest I iced 6 of the caramel cakes before going out to get chores done.
Daughter and IR went out to the high school tonight to the cancer fund raiser carnival the athletic department always puts on. IR looked like she was having fun but daughter said they couldn't stay long because it was so hot in the gym.

I spent the evening after chores getting the rest of the caramel and chocolate cakes iced and getting everything wrapped and ready for market.
Our heat pump froze up so we are back to open doors and windows and fans tonight. Hubbie is hoping the coils just need a good cleaning. He will get some cleaner tomorrow and try it out.
Thankfully in these mountains the night time temps are still pretty comfortable.
Thankful for the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
