GOOD BYE SEPTEMBER 2019

Up to get another week started and close out another busy month of this year.
We got g-son to school and then hubbie went with me to drop RL off at her pre-school. We needed to go by the Curb market and get the money from old timey day last Saturday and get it deposited in the bank.
We got that done and then drove to Fletcher feed to pick up chicken feed. I don't know why all of a sudden all the utilities and the DOT has decided now would be a good time to work on the roads and utility lines but seems like everywhere you go right now there is some reason that traffic is stopped or detoured. So every trip and errand takes longer than usual.
We made it home and got the feed all unloaded and then had a late breakfast.
Hubbie went outside to do some work around the yard and I started changing out my apple décor of September to the pumpkin and leaves décor for October and November.
I also got the weekly laundry going. My washer is continuously getting out of balance when it tries to spin and I am having to watch it more closely.
I got one load of laundry done before it was time to go pick up RL. We took some chicken nuggets and snacks with us to picnic at the park with daughter and IR and CA.
We went to Laurel Park again today and there were several kids playing there today also. The girls were pursued by some of the little boys who wanted to play with them but RL and IR wanted nothing to do with them.

CA got to sit and ride in the stroller for the first time today and she enjoyed the ride over to the coffee shop so daughter and I could get an iced coffee.
We played until it was time to get home so hubbie could go pick up g-son. RL and IR came home with hubbie and I so they could play while daughter took CA home to get a nap.
Daughter and d-in-love came in about the same time to pick up the kids.
Just about the time they were leaving rain started pouring down and we got a little over 3/10ths inch before the storm passed by us.
Hubbie and I got chores done then I gathered all the remaining bell peppers from our plants.
Hubbie brought in a couple heads of our cabbage that is coming along nicely and we started chopping it up with the peppers and some red and hot peppers I bought at market last Saturday along with some purple onions for some chow chow relish.
We chopped everything , covered it with salt water and let it work for an hour.
Then I put it in a pot with spices and vinegar and let it simmer and boil for another 20 minutes before putting it in jars and water bathing it for 15 minutes. The results were 9 jars of this beautiful delicious chow chow relish that will taste so good with beans and other things.
As we say good bye to September with a beautiful sunset after the rain of the afternoon I feel it is a fitting end to a month that has finally been a full month of progress for CA making each day look brighter.
September started off with the Apple Festival on Labor day weekend which we attended with daughter and RL and IR while d-in-love sat at the Curb Market and took care of CA.
RL started her 3rd year of pre-school at Mud Creek Christian school on the Tuesday after Labor day and is loving it as usual.
RL also celebrated her 4th birthday this month.
#2 son and Tif got their house started with the footings and blocks layed for the foundation.
I stayed busy baking cakes for a pretty busy sales month at market and I made apple jelly, froze broccoli and made chow chow  relish from the late garden produce from our garden.
I had a guinea hen hatch a whole bunch of keets and we managed to gather them and her and get them in a brooder box. She is a much calmer and better mama than the previous guinea and keets that hatched earlier this summer. I still haven't managed to count how many keets she has but it is close to 20.
The weather for this month has been really nice but hot and dry so we have had many opportunities to have fun at the parks and apple houses in the community and the girls have enjoyed it even on the record breaking heat days we have had multiple times.

This month broke the record for warmest September on record.

We ended the month with the Old Timey Day at market that was on one of the hot days but everyone made it a success.
Last but surely not least it has been a great month to watch CA turn into a normal, smiling, kicking , moving around 4 month old baby and act like she is getting completely over her heart trouble.
So very thankful as I look back over this month and get ready to begin a new one that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is with us each and every day.
God Bless and Good Night
