WELCOMING SEPTEMBER WITH A BUSY FIRST DAY

Sunday mornings are always slow and nice around here .
I got chores done and then had breakfast while getting some carrots in the pressure pot to glaze, the corn on the stove to cook and some boiled cabbage to cook before church.
Church was good today and Ben, Kristen and Addie joined our church today, all the glory be to God !
#1 son's family , daughter's family #2 son and Tif and Ben's family all joined us for lunch. Everyone had a great visit and the kids all enjoyed playing with each other.
After everyone left hubbie and I went over to Aa's house to do the chores there before we went to the Curb Market to do our parking duty for the weekend.
We had parking from 4-6 and usually the crowds are really starting to dwindle down by now but not today and our parking lot stayed full.
D-in-love came down to sit with CA at market while daughter , IR and RL walked up town with hubbie and me to check out the festival.

The streets were still pretty crowded but the girls acted like they enjoyed the rides up and down the streets through the festival goers.

IR didn't make it all the way through but RL was going strong until the end .

I reaped the benefits of the apple products from some of our friends farms and also picked up a couple Christmas gifts that aren't pictured of course !!
We got back in time to get chores done here and I took these panos of the garden for the September 1st garden pics.

Our late cabbage and broccoli plants are doing great and the Indian corn is starting to dry. We are still getting okra and a few tomatoes and squash but everything else is pretty much done for the season.
After a long day this is pretty much what we felt like tonight also !!!
Hurricane Dorian has reached cat 5 status and is set to give the Bahamas a direct hit starting tomorrow morning.
Praying for all the folks in this storm's path.
Thankful for the blessings God sent my way today of a wonderful church family to go along with my own family.
God Bless and Good Night.
