HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Happy Mother's Day to all on this beautiful but cold morning.
Thankful that we took the time to cover all the plants we could last night because when I got up at 6:00 it was 30.2 degrees !!   It must not have stayed that temp for long enough to damage the things we couldn't cover or maybe we just can't see the damage yet.
It was already in the upper 40's by the time we headed out to get chores done and get things uncovered this morning.
I put a ham in the oven and potatoes in the oven to bake and then we cleaned the kitchen up .
Everyone made it to have lunch with us and I am a lucky lady with all the beautiful gifts from all the kids today.

This Norwex broom will come in really handy and is much lighter and easier to use.
Our church had these geraniums for all the mothers to pick up and Re went up to get all of ours and EL picked this beautiful pink one out for me. Love that little girl !!
We all had a good lunch of ham or left over BBQ, baked potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, corn, biscuits and strawberry pie and lemon pound cake for dessert.
The kids played outside for a long time even in the cool wind that was blowing again.
Everyone had a nice Mother's Day.
After everyone left I put away laundry and laid my clothes out for the week. I had to laugh as I am still putting out long sleeved shirts and pants  going toward the middle of May. The temperatures are supposed to be in the 30's for the next couple nights with high temps in the 50's and 60's for the first at least 3 days of the week.
Hopefully if the temperature predictions hold by Thursday we should be able to set out our garden plants and put all the flowers out for the season.
As the stores open with the first phase of the Governor's re-opening plan it is suggested that everyone wear mask and social distance but from what a lot of people are saying that isn't happening around here. Hubbie and I and the rest of the family have decided we are not changing anything yet until we see what happens when everyone gets back out. There is still almost 500 positive test each day in the state and several more in our county each day.
Praying for all the victims of this disease and praying that we all stay healthy.
Hubbie and I walked down to watch RL turn flips and play on her trapeze bar on her swing set. She probably needs to be in gymnastics as limber as she is.
We came home and got chores done and then covered up everything once again to get through another low to mid 30's night.
Thankful for the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night

Happy Mother's Day a day late. Sounds like the perfect way to spend the Day- With family. We actually had snow yesterday, but it didn't stick to the ground. Our Gov still has no plans to open until May 26th. Sure wish we could open sooner as I really miss Church Services. Just stay healthy. Love all the flowers. Blessings
