BABYSITTING SATURDAY

Up this morning to get chores done in the already hot day. It is so hot already that these little one day old chicks prefer to be outside of mom's feathers.
After chores I had time today for a nice bowl of oatmeal with some freshly picked blueberries on top.
Just as I finished breakfast daughter arrived with IR and CA. All 3 girls are staying here today while daughter and son-in-love and #1 son, d-in-love and g-son go with a couple of son-in-love's other brothers down to tube on Green River.
IR cried for her mom a little this morning and we figured her teeth may still be bothering her a little because she has never done that before.
It didn't last long and as soon as RL arrived they were off to play and CA was just happy to get to tag along to the playroom.

CA is at a bad stage right now because she is trying to move faster than she is capable of yet and falls down a lot.
Hubbie and I fed them all three lunch then we went outside and had ice cream for dessert and I pushed RL and IR on the swing until my arms felt like they were jello.
The 93 degree heat ran us back inside and we played with the girls until their mom and dad's got here to pick them up.
They all said they had fun on the river and enjoyed the tubing adventure.
After they left hubbie went up to look for some things he needs to make some wire panels to use for a chicken fence and I moved the last 10 incubator chicks up to a large brooder box and cleaned out the little brooder box on the front porch.
I also moved the one chick that the white silkie took over and hatched from the laying hen in with the incubator chicks although she is a week older I think they will be fine together.
I picked some more cucumbers and then sat out in the covered patio for a little while.
We came inside and while we watched a program on TV we made some little wedding favor boxes that I am helping a friend with at her wedding the 1st of August.
Thankful for the blessings of this day and thankful for safety granted to all the family at the river today.
God Bless and Good Night
