BEAUTIFUL MORNING AND STORMY EVENING

A beautiful Sunday morning to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We got chores done and then got lunch started. We had cooked roast beef in the crock pot over night. To go with it we fixed corn, fresh green beans from the garden, cucumber salad, boiled new potatoes from the garden, fried yellow squash from the garden and I made a peach cobbler from some of the peaches we bought yesterday.
Hubbie and I watched and worshiped with Don Wilton on TV again this morning.
He is still smartly having his service outside down in Spartanburg and we just wish it wasn't so far away so we could attend. I wish some of our local pastors would wise up and start holding an outside service in our area. It is now reported that church gatherings are contributing to the spread of the covid virus.
We had everyone here for lunch except #2 son and Tif . Tif was working and son was golfing today.

We had a good lunch and visit and the kids got to play outside. BB set up these 4 chairs and they played musical chairs in them.
After everyone left hubbie and I tackled the green bean breaking job. There was a cool breeze out in the covered patio so we decided that would be a good relaxing place to do the breaking.
It took us about 2 hours to break and string the bushel of half runners. And it was just in time as we carried everything into the house in a sprinkle of rain the dark clouds and distant thunder were coming our way quickly.
And boy did they get here with 2 inches of rain in about 30 minutes and howling winds that blew the rain side ways.  Our front yard became a river and the distant mountains disappeared in a haze of pouring rain.
Thankfully the storm passed on and the sun came out soon afterward.
As  the skies cleared we checked out damage and found only a flooded end of our garden so far. We didn't go down the drive way so who knows what that looks like.
We got chores done and then had some leftovers for a quick supper.
We relaxed for the rest of the evening.
Thankful for the blessings of this day and thankful that I have a loving Savior.
God Bless and Good Night
