UP to another hot muggy morning to start this July off.
We got chores done and then grabbed a quick breakfast before heading out to the Curb Market to get pay roll done and a deposit figured.
While we were there daughter who was at our bank across the street came over to meet up with us.
IR got to come inside market and look around where she used to love to play and see all her friends.
She thought it was great to be all alone in the market since it is closed today.
We left there and made the deposit for market then daughter followed us to Tractor Supply. We needed to pick up some more chick started feed and hubbie had a list of things he needed in the garden and other repair parts he needed.
We wore our mask but noticed there was a lot of folks who are not wearing them now . It's almost like more folks aren't wearing them now just because there is a mandate to wear them now.
Crazy world we are living in right now for sure.
We took turns sitting with the girls while daughter went in for a birthday gift she needed.
We all came here for lunch.
Of course as soon as IR saw the chicks she had to hold one. Her definition of "holding a chick" is to let it sit in her lap and pet it with one of her fingers. CA is very interested in the chicks but wants to pinch their heads !!
We had a quiet afternoon staying inside in the cool while the clouds and sun battled all afternoon and we did get a light sprinkle of rain.
After daughter and the girls left hubbie and I got chores done and then I came inside to begin the 2020 canning season. I made 10 pints of Dilly Beans from the bush beans I picked yesterday.
I also cooked the heirloom purple beans in the pressure pot and they were very tender and delicious and I will definitely be looking for more seeds for next season of these. Although they lost their purple color during cooking they were very tasty after only a 2 minute cook time.
My back was screaming as I went to bed and reminded me that those muscles that are usually broke into nightly work by now as I bake and ice cakes are not used to this kind of work this season.
Thankful for all the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
