FINALLY A RAINY DAY

Up to clouds and cooler temps this morning only expecting the high to be in the upper 70's today.
RL came this morning so her mom could work half the day today. I got chores done and had breakfast while she watched TV.
She then went outside with hubbie to walk around  while I got a load of laundry started and collected all the canning supplies for another run of Dilly Beans.
They came back inside and we had a snack  and then watched more TV until d-in-love got here with lunch.
Re also brought EL and BB to meet up with d-in-love here so they could stay with her while she attended a meeting at her job.
After they all left hubbie and I had lunch. Another garden fresh lunch of the purple pod green beans and fried zuchinni to go with some BBQ chicken pieces from the freezer.

After we ate hubbie helped me break the ends of the green beans I picked yesterday.
I have 8 more jars of Dilly Beans to add to the pantry.

Just as I finished up the canning the rains started pouring down outside. Thankful for the rain but it did come a little fast as we got an inch of rain in about 15 minutes and alot of the water ran down the driveway.

 This same system is being watched as it goes off the coast for tropical development .

We missed the "E" storm all together as this past weekend Edouard formed and headed out to sea away from the US.

We looked around after the rain stopped and found no damage except for some washed out ruts in the driveways.
We watched the news and then got chores done.
We finished the evening sitting out in the covered patio enjoying the cooler, rain freshened air.
Thankful for the blessings of this day.
