2021 POTATO HARVEST DONE

Up to get chores done and make a cake delivery after a quick breakfast bar and coffee. After we met the cake customer we met #1 son's family and daughter and the girls to go over to the Mills River farmers market today. I have been wanting to get over to this market all summer and now it is so late in the season I'm sure a lot of the vendors are already done with their season but I wanted to go anyway. The girls all had fun walking around and I did find some freshly made tea and some pork chops from a meat vendor that I have bought from before.

After we left the market hubbie and I went to a car wash and tried to wash some of the pollen off my Honda then we headed home.  We ate lunch then sat out in the covered patio. #1 son's family brought their lunch in and came up and ate under the patio .  After they finished eating RL helped us finishing digging the last row of our potatoes.

This was the Yukon Gold potato row and we were sorely disappointed with the amount of potatoes we got here. Only a half of this bushel box full but it is enough to carry out our experiment of if these keep longer and better than Kennebec potatoes.
That's a wrap for the 2021 potato harvest with a total of 3 and a half bushel boxes and 1 five gallon bucket full.
We had a relaxing rest of the afternoon and then got chores done.
Thankful for all the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
