RESTFUL SUNDAY

Up to a leisurely Sunday morning. We aren't having a big lunch today as everyone except #1 son's family has other obligations today.  I got chores done and then had my oatmeal for breakfast.  We fixed some baked potatoes and corn on the cob for lunch to go with the left over BBQ , beans and slaw  from last night.  #1 son's family came up and ate with us.  After we ate they left and hubbie and I peeled and sliced apples to fill both dehydrators. I sprinkled cinnamon sugar on the apple slices and the sunroom where the dehydrators are smells heavenly this evening.  Hubbie took a couple empty LP gas tanks into town to get refills and after going to 2 different places finally found a place that he could get them. Things are crazy in our world right now as businesses struggled to find and keep employees.  Service everywhere is either very slow or nonexistent .  It's no wonder everyone is switching to online ordering but then you are dealing with slow delivery times so it's pretty crazy. I put in grocery and supply orders at Aldi and Sam's Club this evening and a lot of things are out of stock right now . It makes me very thankful for my garden produce and the hen's eggs and chicken meat in my freezer right now.   A lot of folks I know have had a lifestyle change and after the quarantine last year discovered one of them as a couple can stay home with their kids and also there seems to be a big "homesteader" movement going on right now with all the craziness in our government folks are opting out of the rat race at a record pace leaving businesses struggling at every level to keep up.  Add to that the crazy vaccine mandate that the president ordered that is forcing workers to choose between working or getting vaccinated is adding to the labor shortage as even vaccinated folks do not believe government should dictate heath decisions. Some businesses and police departments  have already said they can't enforce the mandate because they will be out of business. It remains to be seen what this will eventually bring as the November 22.

As I did chores tonight I looked up into a clear sky at the almost full "Hunter's" moon it always amazes me at how quickly the moon crosses the sky.

A friend of mine posted this series of 28 days of moon movement which is very interesting.

Thankful for all the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
