ERRAND DAY AND MORE POTATO DIGGING

Up to get chores done and have breakfast with CA and hubbie. #2 son text and said he was on his way over to look through some lumber in the barn but then said he couldn't come today because d-in-love-T's step dad's mom had fallen and was on her way to the hospital by ambulance with a sever head wound. After we finished eating breakfast we loaded up in hubbie's truck and headed into town to run the weekly errands. We stopped at the PO, the dump/recycle center, the bank and then stopped at the market to meet 3 cake customers to pick up their caramel cakes. I had also sold another of my money plant bunches I had on my table. It is nice to stop and pick up money even if it's a small amount. The last stop we made was at our insurance office to pay 3 of our insurance premiums. CA napped almost the entire trip today which was unusual but I'm sure she will feel better this afternoon. We got home just in front of daughter after she picked up IR from pre-school. We all had lunch and then IR and CA went outside to play and I sat on the porch with EA to enjoy the warmth of the sunshine. These days are numbered now so we try and take advantage of every one we get. Daughter worked on entering grades for her classes.  After school let out d-in-love-A and RL came over and the girls had a snack then watched CA's tablet for a little while.

They went back outside to play for a while before they all left to go home.  After they left hubbie and I went back to the garden to dig more potatoes. Looks like the rain is coming in tonight and we wanted to get  more of them dug. We dug the remaining 2 rows of Kennebecs which one of the rows didn't bare well at all but we still got another bushel and a 5 gallon bucket full which we are happy with. We ran out of daylight and left the row of Yukon Golds for another day.

We finished chores and came inside to rest for a little while. After a short rest I iced 2 coconut cakes and then we rested for the remainder of the evening. No rain for us yet by the time I am writing this at 9:30 so we will wait and see what happens later tonight. The moon was hiding behind the clouds all evening but when the camera went off a little while ago the full "hunters" moon of 2021 was peeping over the tree line.

Thankful for the blessing of a bountiful garden this year and for all the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
