PUMPKIN SHOPPING DAY

 Up to another warm sunny Fall day. Got chores done and then had breakfast with hubbie and CA. After we ate we loaded up in the Honda and headed into town to pick up our new fire pit I had shipped to Tractor Supply and then we picked up another bushel of apples from our friends packing house, we got Golden Delicious this time hoping these will keep better than the Jonagolds did.  We also killed some time at the Amazon return shop where I found a cover for the new fire pit.  We picked up IR from pre-school today. She was happy to see me when I got to the door but had to show me a scrape on her knee that she had gotten today from twisting around on a pole.  We left there and met daughter and EA and d-in-love-T and NP at Nix's Pumpkin Patch for lunch from a BBQ truck that had advertised to be there today. We didn't see the truck and I asked the owner of the patch where the BBQ truck was and he said they just didn't show up today. He sounded pretty mad that they didn't even let them know they weren't coming and said they wouldn't be having them come back because this was the second time they had done this. We let the girls shop for some pumpkins and I bought stocked up on some winter squash .

We were all starving by the time we finished shopping so we decided to get food from another nearby food truck. D-in-love-T and hubbie went to pick it up while the rest of us came here. The food was really good but they had to wait a long time to get it.  After we ate we relaxed in the cool house while all 4 of the girls rested.  Daughter had an appointment to get her oil changed so IR and CA stayed here with us.  D-in-love-T and NP left when #2 son got off work to meet him and pick up his truck that was in the repair shop. We went outside to have popsicles and wait for daughter to get here from her appointment.  

We cleaned up around the covered patio to get ready for the rain and high winds that are coming tomorrow. Hubbie got our new firepit set up and covered .

After daughter picked up the girls hubbie and I got chores done and then we relaxed for the evening.
