RAINY BORING DAY

 Up to another rainy morning. I got chores done and then had breakfast with CA . On a boring rainy morning we played in the playroom and in the sunroom trying to pass the time. Daughter came in with IR and EA at lunch time and we all ate together. I mixed some flour with some of the left over chicken and rice from Sunday and fried patties out of it and it was very good. Daughter also brought in a new kind of small pumpkin/ squash that was supposed to taste like an acorn squash but without the stringy texture. They were wrong about the stringy texture and it tasted more like a pumpkin although I cooked it beside an acorn squash and exactly the same way with butter, brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice.  Thankfully the rain stopped for a little while in late afternoon and we all got to go outside in the fresh air for a little while. Meow meow thought it was a very boring rainy day also as he bedded down with the new scarecrow decorations in the wagon on the front porch.

I made a cake delivery at 4:00 of a couple cakes for 2 separate birthdays. Hope they enjoy them !!

After daughter took the girls home hubbie and I hurried through chores and barely beat the heavier rain that came back this evening. There was already  7/10ths inch in the gauge from earlier today before it started raining again this evening.

I iced the 6 caramel cakes this evening and then we relaxed for the evening.

This has been a day good for napping just ask RL as she came home from school and went straight to the couch.
