RESTFUL SUNDAY

Up to a leisurely Sunday morning. It is getting cooler and cooler in the mornings now and requires a jacket at chore time.  Hubbie and I had moved 5 hens from the camper cover tractor into the big hen house last night and I was curious to see how they were doing this morning.  They seemed to be blending in with the older hens fine and came out to eat some scraps and corn right along side them this morning. We put bright yellow bands on their legs so we could tell them apart from the older hens.  After chores I came inside and had a nice breakfast.  We are having meat loaf with mashed potatoes, green beans, corn on the cob and biscuits for lunch today so we cleaned up the house some and then worked on lunch. I also fried some apple fritters for dessert.  #1 son's family, daughter and her girls and Aa's family joined us for lunch. #2 son is still feeling under the weather so they didn't come today.  Everyone ate and had a nice visit. After they all left I picked up a Walmart order and then hubbie and I relaxed for the afternoon. There is starting to be a little color in the leaves around our mountains.

We got chores done and then relaxed inside for the evening. We are getting an earlier bedtime tonight getting ready to find a new normal starting tomorrow as daughter goes back to work and IR, CA and EA all become out responsibility for the days.
Thankful for all the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
