RAINY FLOODED ERRAND DAY

Up to pouring rain once again. Hubbie came in and said there was a lot of water on all the roads. I got chores done in a heavy rain and then thanks to the cake customer changing the 10:00 meeting time to later I got to have a leisurely breakfast. Daughter dropped CA off and we waited for about an hour until the rain slacked off to load up and make a trip to town to run our weekly errands.  CA is always ready to go whenever either of us gets ready to get in a vehicle.  We made a stop at the PO first then on to the dump/ recycle center. We were surprised on our way there that the roads weren't flooded in a couple places that are usually the first to flood.  We also made stops at Walgreens, the bank , the market to drop off more money plant. I hadn't sold anything this week so I won't need to work on any more until some of the 5 bunches that are out there now. Our last stop was to pick up CA some lunch. She loves Cook-Out quesadias and fries.  When we got home she was all excited to see all the "brown" water that had flooded out into the bottom pastures.

It was a pretty bad flood that came up quickly.
We came inside and had lunch.  I have discovered a delicious way to create more meals from the chicken and rice leftovers I always have when I make this for lunch. I added Panko bread crumbs and parmesan cheese to the chicken and rice and made patties to fry. These are delicious. I will freeze them individually and use them for quick meals during the week.
After we all ate lunch daughter picked up CA and took her home so they all could hopefully get good naps this afternoon.
I got the last of my dried beans put away in a jar . I can't wait to cook some of these Rattlesnake beans to see what they taste like.
The internet repair tech came a day early which was fine with us as we were looking for things to do this afternoon. He revamped all our hardware and said that should take care of the problem we were having as he replaced a very old box on the outside of the house that was probably leaking rain inside.
I can tell a difference in our internet speed this evening and we haven't had any interruptions this evening. Fingers crossed this fixed the problem because after taking with him we are pretty much stuck with this old internet service. It's strange that we don't live out in the boonies but we don't have any internet choices .
After the tech finished it was chore time. We slogged through the mud and were surprised that there was another 3.5 inches of rain in the gauge just since yesterday evening. That is a whopping 6.4 inches of rain from this system since Monday and more is predicted overnight and tomorrow.
We had a quiet evening .
Thankful for the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
