DOLLYWOOD

 UP extra early this morning to get chores done and get g-son to school before daughter and family picked us up to go to Dollywood with them. We tried to go last week but the rain put us off a week.  The place was really crowded today and super hot so the kids got tired of waiting in line pretty quick. I rode a couple rides with IR and daughter and son-in-love rode a couple with CA  and hubbie rode the Merry -go -round with IR once. The girls got their faces painted and we shopped in a couple stores and everyone was ready to head home. We had packed sandwiches and drinks and left them in coolers in the van so we ate when we got back to the van. The lines were crazy long at all the eating spots inside the park so we were very glad we had brought food. 

                                                  

                                                 

                                                 

                                                 

Traffic was pretty bad coming home but we still made it in about 2 hours.  IR and CA wanted to stay here and help feed chickens and RL came up to help also.  We have a stray kitten that has been hanging out in a tree in the front yard for the last couple days and this evening with food and milk and a little encouragement from the girls who are all in love with this little stray already the kitten came out of the tree and up to the covered patio where the girls were eating popsicles but it wouldn't get close enough for them to pet it but it seems to want to be friendly so we are sure it is not just a wild kitty.  As we sat outside CA started pointing to the horizon and saying "rainbow" and it was a colorful sunset tonight.

  Hubbie took all the girls home on his way to daughter's to pick up trash for the week.   I finished up chores and then did weekly paperwork and paid bills tonight.

Thankful for traveling mercies today and for the blessing of getting to spend fun times with all these little grandkids.
