LEAF COLOR

I woke up with a bleeding nose this morning. This usually doesn't happen until the wood stove gets cranked up and drys the air out so I have no idea why it as bleeding today.
After chores and breakfast I took a walk around the farm to check out the color change since I haven't had much time this week to slow down enough to notice.
The color is starting to come along but there are a lot of brown leaves already in the trees.

I finished sewing the patches and numbers on g-son's scout shirt then went to work baking my cakes.
I baked 7 more caramel, 6 chocolate and 4 pound cakes before Rebekah and Evy came over to ice the cakes for the birthday party tonight for the McCall kids that she is doing the baking for at their apple stand.
I made a chocolate and a strawberry cake and the caramel icing for the chocolate and the gluten free chocolate that Rebekah made and she made a really yummy strawberry icing for the strawberry cake I made.
I have another caramel icing fan !!
I think she likes it !!!
She also loved the strawberry icing her mom made.
After they went home for Evy a nap I took a nice break out in the warm sunshine. I have a feeling we won't see many more days like today so I want to enjoy them. It was 80 degrees and sunny until this evening when the clouds rolled in.
Daughter is in charge of home coming at the high school tonight so hopefully the rain will hold off until after that.
I went through photos for October decade pictures this evening before chore time.
After chores I spent the rest of the evening icing cakes and getting ready for market tomorrow. There is a car show up town so maybe I will have a good day with all the extra folks in town.
Thanking God for the strength and mercy He gives me each day.
Good Night and God Bless.

We are cool today from a blessed rain from last night. We have promises of more. The ponds need to fill and the creek needs some flushing.

I would be loving that icing too!!!

Have a blessed week.
