RAINY MONDAY

A damp misty morning greeted us today as hubbie and I did the morning chores. Just as we came back inside Rebekah arrived with Evy. Rebekah worked all night at the hospital so Evy was staying here for the morning so mom could get some sleep.
Hubbie had to run an errand for daughter so Evy and I played the morning away.  She plays hard and gets tired quickly, she likes to sit in the big recliner.
I put her to bed and she had a nice nap in the late morning. I did laundry while she slept. It is so nice to be able to watch her on my new monitor.  She climbed out of her crib at home last week so we are keeping a closer eye on her today in our crib.
She ate a really good lunch when she woke up and then was acting like the silly , fun little girl she is.

Such a sweetie pie !!
Her mom came after her and visited awhile then they both went home for another nap.
I finished my laundry for the week then worked downstairs clearing out a path to get the old wood stove out and the new one in when it comes in. I called to see if the new one might be in today since #2 son is off and could help get it in but they never called back after I left a message on their phone. They might be closed on Columbus day also.
The rain has been light and the sun peeked out a couple times this afternoon but the clouds quickly grew dark again just before chore time. I poured 6/10ths inch of rain from the gauge this evening from overnight and today.  The main rain from this system causing severe storms across the country is expected to get here tomorrow.
I finished my latest blog book tonight. Wow I can't believe this is volume 10.  I am loving reading back over the years to see what was going on from 2009 until now in these books.
As I listen to the news just now they talk about a wreck that has claimed 2 lives on I-26 near the Upward Road exit. Seems an elderly driver was traveling the wrong way on the east bound side and hit another car head on.

I am praying for all the victims involved in this terrible accident. May they turn to God for comfort during this time.
Good Night and God Bless.

Evy just cuter with every picture you post. Sure hope the storm isn't too bad when it arrives. We had some heavy rain last night and it is supposed to rain all day today. Praying God keeps you safe. Blessings

Hi Marilyn, Love your header. Looks like some pretty color over that way. We are meeting friends at Maggie Valley next week. Hope we see some color around that area.

After being VERY dry since July --and all through September, we FINALLY have had TONS of rain here. We've had over 7 inches the past couple of weeks... Crazy!!!!!! BUT--we needed it... Now I'm ready for some sunshine and COOLER temperatures.. It's been very warm here...

Hope you enjoy your new stove...
Hugs,
Betsy
