CHRISTMAS AT EDNEYVILLE

Woke to a very foggy morning today.
I emptied 2/10ths inch of overnight rain from the gauge this morning but the fog lifted quickly and the low humidity returned by mid morning.
After chores and breakfast I started cleaning my house . This will be the last day I have free to do some deeper cleaning than usual before the Christmas dinners at my house begin.
That's how I spent my day and I got everything cleaned except the floors and they will need to be done Saturday night anyway. I cleaned in my office and discovered another couple hidden Christmas gifts. I also cleaned the kids room so when all the great nephews get here they can play in there.
I did chores early so we could get over to the elementary school to see g-son's Christmas program.
Each year one class is chosen from each grade to be in this program.G-son's class has been chosen for the last two years. He is in Mr. Rhodes' class.

He looks like he is ready as he sits with mom to wait for his teacher.
He sat with his class and was his usual playful fun self.

Here is the class with according to g-son.... "the best teacher in the whole school".
The people kept coming into the small gym until it was packed , more chairs were brought in and there were twice as many people there as last year.
When all these folks got packed in some of the kids got a case of "stage fright", g-son included. He didn't cry like some of the others, he just wouldn't look up.  It was comical but I did feel sorry for him as I have had butterflies and that is not a good feeling.
He managed to go through all the motions correctly ,and you cold see a visible sigh of relief when their class's performance ended.
Several members of the faculty showcased their talents as d-in-love , g-son's teacher and several other teachers played and sang Silent Night.
The Edneyville chorus was very good and unfortunately they announced that the chorus teacher was retiring at the end of the year so this was her last Christmas program.
At the end all the kids, teachers and audience sang  carols and g-son was watching his dad make faces at him to get him over his butterflies.
This is some of the many faces of g-son as he sang the carols.

He said afterward when we asked him why he got so scared he said there were too many people in there !!
Another wonderful Christmas program , thanks to the hard work of the kids and teachers.
Hubbie and I came home and relaxed the night away !!
The high today was 60 degrees but the wind started blowing this evening and brought the temperatures down quickly.
Thankful for the blessing of these children tonight as they sang the songs of the season and thankful to our Heavenly Father for giving us His son as our Savior.
Good Night and God Bless.

Those are some adorable pictures go g-son. He really looks like he got into the singing on the last picture. Thanks for sharing, Blessings

Hello There, I enjoyed your post today. I remember those Christmas Programs when my sons were little...

We got a tiny bit of ice/sleet during the night last night --but today, it's just cloudy and cold here.

Sorry I haven’t been around much lately. I do try to read blogs—but just haven’t commented very much lately like I usually try to do. Please don’t give up on me. Hopefully my life will be back to ‘normal’— whatever that is (ha), sometime in January.

I did get a cortisone shot in my knee —which has helped with the pain somewhat. In January, I will most likely have meniscus tear surgery…. BUT—in the meantime, I plan to have a fantastic Christmas —and hopefully get to see my kids/grands… God is Good.

Hugs,
Betsy
